Overview
How We Do It
Strengthening Competency-Based Teaching
IEC strengthens classroom practices by promoting Competency-Based Education (CBE) that shifts learning from rote methods to mastery of foundational and real-world skills. Teachers are supported through structured capacity building, peer learning forums, and CBE-aligned assessment tools that enhance learner-centred instruction.
Enabling Continuous Teacher Support
Teachers receive ongoing academic support through regular Teachers’ Collectives, classroom observations, and data-driven planning sessions. This enables reflective practice, improved pedagogy, and consistent tracking of student progress to strengthen learning outcomes.
Institutionalising Community Participation
IEC strengthens community-led governance by activating Gram Panchayats, School Management Committees (SMCs), and local education committees. Collaboration among parents, PRI members, teachers, and government officials institutionalises local planning, accountability, and shared ownership of school improvement.
